This is the first time trying atlantic giant pumpkin , so I am sure I did lots wrong. I had to pick my pumpkin today (8-6-08) they have almost turned compleatly orange. I had to pick them for the vines got mushy as well as the pumpkins stems.( Way to much rain and heat ). I need to know is there a way to keep the pumpkins so my son ( who we grew the pumpkins for ) can carve the around mid october????? Any info would help . Thank YOU

Keep them Cool and dry...wip them down with a 10:1 bleach solution every couple days.. If them stems are mushy already it may be to late.
