I know it might be a little early to be thinking of this, but I am curious as to how do you get the pupkin on the lifting tarp? Do you put the tarp down under it early or does it take a group effort to manipulate the fruit onto the tarp once you have removed it from the plant?

If you start heavy weight training now you could probably do it yourself:) Get a group of people and move it when its time. My 713 pumpkin it too six of us to move and lift.

Im glad you brought up that question. I have access to a tractor and was want to know which would be better for lifting from the patch to the trailer...a lifting ring or a lifting strap?

roll the pumpkin on its side... stuff the tarp under it. Try to center it. let the pumpkin down then roll it toward the other direction and pull the tarp out. center the pumpkin on the tarp. Lift away.
