Hi all,
Today I checked a fruit set 10 days ago, the blossom was still on the end, and turning gray.
I gave it a little tug, as I figured it was time it should have fallen off.
Under it the 5 lobes have the beginnings of ROT.
I did not chop them off, (should I?) and I applied Dracnil to the area. I just rubbed it on with my fingers, to ensure I got the whole thing.
Will this do the trick?
OR should I cut off the lobe pieces, and apply more Dracnil?

Now that youve applied daconil you want to dry that blossom end out. Use a fan if possible or increase ventilation and sunlight by removing a couple leaves. I generally remove the flower part 1or 2 days after pollination because they can trap water from rain or sprays.

Thanks Ron,
Ok, I removed the leaf closest, and it is already dry.
Do I need to remove the rotten tips?
Or will they just harden and dry up on their own?
I should have asked earlier when I need to pull the blossom off. I did not know it would be done so shortly after pollination.
