Where can I find seaweed and fish fertilizer and is this a good time of year to apply it? I've been feeding miracle grow liquid once a week now but thinking of adding the seaweed/fish fertilizer too.
Also, my pumpkin flowers all have cucumber beetles in them eating the pollen, should I be concerned and what can I do?

I was in the same boat as you when a wise man from Windsor, possibly of Spanish or Italian desent, suggested I check the hydroponic outlets in my area. I looked in the yellow pages and found a couple of sources right away. As for the cucumber beetles, you should be concerned. I don't have a problem with them myself, maybe a more knowledgeable person on the subject of pesticides could chime in.

I just found a bottle of liquid seaweed and fish fertilizer at a garden center. How do I use this for my pumpkins? Also, regarding the cucumber beetles, do i spray right inside the open flowers where I am finding them?? For some reason I am hesitant to do that!

If you are using something that can harm bees, I would pick off all the open flowers before spraying. Definitely kill them all ASAP, and consider using garlic powder or spray as a repellant.

Well last night I could not find the Spectracide triazicide product anywhere, so out of desperation and fear of the cucumber beetles making my plants diseased, I sprayed with Bayer 3 in one insect, disease & mite control. The label said it kills cucumber beetles. I did spray open flowers but they were spent males. Hopefully this stuff won't harm my plants. Any thoughts??
