I have females at 7'-9'6" on my 4 plants, (They got started late, I had early troubles) so the questions is, do I pollinate these and go with them, or do I let the plant grow and pollinate later? If you boil it down, am I going to end up from a bigger pumpkin from an extra 2-3 weeks of growth, or will it be bigger with less growth time and more plant behind it? Today is July 9th and our weigh-off is Sept. 27th. That is 79 days away.

I'm in a similar situation, with everything set back by the cool wet weather. I'm starting to pollinate at around 10' and will keep on pollinating for a while to see what "takes" and grows the best. If you wait too long, you could get real hot weather and have trouble getting them to go.
