The other day when I was out trimming tendrils and tertiary vines, I mistakenly nipped off 3 secondaries on the main before I realized what I was doing. Have 12 secondaries before this point. Should I let a few tertiary vines grow back toward the stump on the new secondaries to fill in the space? Let the secondaries grow longer than I had planned, 16' instead of 12'? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ron

under normal growing conditions we like to have 9 to ten (or more ) sets of side vines before the fruit. if your plant is big enough before the fruit a couple missing side vines is not the end of the world.
