Why are the vine tips on my main vine starting to turn yellow? One plant is just fine but the other is having this problem. I sprayed round up on Saturday but I was at least 10 ft away from the plant. There was a slight breeze but I can't imagine this being the problem because it's only the vine tips that are doing this. The rest of the plant is not effected. Can someone help me...I don't want to lose this plant I only have two plants to begin with. HELP ME!!!!

OK I thought of a few other things it could be. I fertilized fairly heavily with seaweed powder, fish emulsion powder, and Bloosom booster. I also have a very heavy clay soil so I'm wondering if I'm just watering to much for my soil type....too damp? Any ideas are welcome. I just looked at the "good" plant today and it's starting to turn yellow as well...YIKES! HELP!

Mike, do you have any pictures to share? How do the growth tips themselves look? Are they starting to get real congested with growth or are they normal? What color yellow?

I can take pictures....
The tips ARE somewhat congested. The color yellow is a pale/light yellow. I also noticed that a couple of the leaves near the tip are starting to "curl". BUT curl isn't the proper term more like deformed, hard, crunchy leaves rather than fresh pliable leaf....like a chemical burn I'm going to guess. SON OF A GUN I really screwed this up didn't I! CRAP! Probably over fertilized didn't I.
Do I have to start a diary to submit a picture?

If the tips start to curl and burst you probably over did it. they become overly abundant with growth...If you had better drainage I'd tell you to water it out...but without that the rest of the plant would succumb...Good luck..maybe somebody has an idea for you here.

When I saw your diary pics all I could think about was mild 24d damage...anyone near you spray weed killer?

Well that interesting that you were looking at my diary pics because I haven't posted a diary yet....BUT there is a pumpkintron (NOT ME...pumpkorn (me)) but VERY VERY SNEAKY!!! Oops!?
But in my first post i did mention that I sprayed Round-Up on Saturday but I was nearly 10ft away from the plant and I had a "shield" if you will around the spray nozzle. It was slightly windy but I really don't think it was the round-up that is causing the problem.
So what I am hearing so far is water the heck out of the patch? I'm there!!! I'll leave the soaker hose on low all night i guess. I have no other options unless someone else has a better idea? PLEASE MORE IDEAS! I'M BEGGING SOMEONE AT THIS POINT TO SPEAK UP... :)
