HI, I'm only in my 2nd year of doing this myself. I can't answer that but I don't think it would hurt. Did you know if you go to the main menue section on the first page there is a links you can click on, there are organizations for people in Ohio.

I don't know about grass clippings either. I don't have grass here. I do use alfalfa mixed into the soil, manure and folar spray weekly with fish emulsion.

as the grass clipping decompose they will tie up nitrogen not release it. if you want nitrogen go buy some blood meal. if you planted late you can possibly add a few extra applications of kelp and fish water soluable or an extra dose of what ever you using however, you must also let nature take its course. late is always going to be late. pap

When appying grass, if it is fresh then it may burn any leaves it touches as it is fresh.

And you better know when the last time the grass was treated with fert and/or weed killer before it was cut, the weed killer can stay around for months, even in clippings. I would not use clippings myself.
