Here are my soil test results, I added sul-po-mag to my patch. What do I need to do for fertilization during the growing season? Plants are in the ground!

P & K are low.
Without knowing whether manures were applied...we make general recommendations.
10 lbs Sulfate of Potash 0-0-50 per 1000 sf tilled. Plus 15 lbs 10-10-10 ag grade fertilizer tilled.
Another (better) option would be to use Osmocote 14-14-14 instead of the 10-10-10. Use 10 lbs instead.
You'll still do well to take a leaf tissue test during June.

What do I need for water soluble fertilizer each week, or do I just need to water at this point. I added 10 pounds of sul-po-mag to my patch and tilled it in.

Tremor, if he does do a tissue test in June, what kind of results is he looking for?

A tissue test lets you know if anything is missing but it won't indicate how MUCH is needed to make corrections.
Once soils are properly dialed in you don't really need any water soluble fertilizers most years. Cold springs (this year here) might cause some folks to reach for soluble N (we used calcium Nitrate). Some soils won't meet the entire potassium needs of the plant so something like Miller's Sugar Plus or Agro-K's high K fert will help the plants to finish strong.

Thanks Tremor, I got my 14-14-14 osmocote today, I am going to till it in this weekend. I will take a tissue sample in June, and I will only foliar fertilize the pumpkins with fish fertilizer once a week, I hope this works. Hopefully, we can both grow them big this summer. Jim

Where do you send the leaf tissue, and what parts do you send?
