My patch is 25x15. If that was your patch constraints and you were going to plant just one plant, which pattern would you grow in?

I think that I'd grow a 25 foot main with 15 foot side vines.
It would be too risky to try and grow a 15 foot main with 12 foot side vines if you could not get a good fruit to set on or before that 15 foot mark.

Does this mean you only let side vines grow on one side then? Is it better to have one long side vine than two short side vines in this case 7 feet wide each?
I guees the pattern looks like this with main vertical and side horizontal: |------------ |--------- |----- |---- |-- |--
I'm verty interested in this as I have a restricted space too.

my patch is roughly 16' x 23'
i am growing 2 flags this year starting in opposite corners with the mains running about 2' from the edge up the length and the first secondary vine will be about 10' on each plant and shorten as they go up the main.
this way, i can walk between the plants from one corner to the other. may get crowded but i would rather have 2 small plants then 1 big plant.
i will be growing 2 fruit on each flag plant.
