why do we sand seeds. and how would i go about doing this?

Being new my self I dont know if I fully understand yet, but from what I have read your sanding the edges just enough to see a color difference. This allows moisture to enter the seed quicker and get your plant up and growing. If seed has not been germinated quick enough then it will rot.
