The list of names that should be put on the list of possible world record growers is so long it would take several posts to include them all. There are TONS of growers here with the potential!

hoots is right there are so many great growers, its hard to say. I would say I wonder what states have the potiental to break the state record. The answer is the following
Ky With so many great growers, 1337 dmg its only going to get better.
Kansas, I think that they will suprise us. The state has always had biggest pumpkin weigh offs they are just now taking it series.
Colorado, Madman had a 1100 that was dmg, being my home state, I hope to see the weigh offs get bigger and better. I do think that longmont (my area) may get a 900 pounder this yr.
New Mexico, lots of promise.
Wy, yep given I could go on and on but I will let u add your two cents.

ill go on record saying i think the current 1,689 pound wr will hold at least a year or two. i realize anything is possible but 1689 is an awful lot of weight to beat. theres still a time frame and weather conditions to battle every year as far as a world champion i think quinn werner is way over due. hes a great grower who works very hard at the hobby. hes my pick for 2008 world champion (if its not me ) LOL pap
