When you get a seed and it says cloned on it and not selfed what exactly does that mean. Im not very good on the whole genetics thing. Thanks for any input

Cloned means that you took a part of the plant in your patch and planted into a pot or some container and cut it off the main plant.

Take a vine that is still growing, and lay the vine across a pot or 3-4" deep tray of dirt (window box, with notches in sides for vine to enter) and bury the vine so the node roots. After 3 weeks or so, it will have rooted, and you can cut the piece of vine from the plant. Bring in doors, water/feed over the winter, and put in ground in spring.

People do this to keep a special plant alive, and cause winter is boring.

Anyone know how well you can grow a pumpkin from a clone, since there would be no stump?

How much does the plant in the planter grow over the winter? If it vines out seems like it would be a problem in the house.

if you pollinate a plant with a clone of the plant I would think that would be a self.

We cloned the 1450 Wallace that grew the 1018. planted the
clone in the center of the patch and it grew a 385
never know when a great pumpkin could have no seeds.
