I'm thinking if my wife and I can raise 6 great kids we might have a chance at a giant pumkin. From what I hear and read you growers treat them like one of your own..lol. We grew some "big Max" pumpkins this year and had a great time with them "50-70 lbs". Then we heard about the "giant pumpkins" and thought this would be a great family growing adventure, and from what I have read and seen, you all seem to be a great group of people to associat with. We have purchased some of the standard books, been preparing the ground and now would like to find some seeds. I like a nice orange color...but we want to go big more than pretty. Is there any one who we could get a seed or two from or purchase some seeds from? Thank you for your time...we as a family are looking forward to a great 2008 growing season

I can give you seeds that will grow big and some that will grow orange. All it takes is a self addressed, stamped bubble envelope. Email me and I will send you my address.

Hi, try the seed exchange message post, there are all kinds of free seeds offers. The way it works is you buy two bubble envelopes, one made out to you with postage, stuff it into the other bubble envelope with postage made out to the person sending you the seeds.

Welcome Harv Schmidt & Family. This is a fine family & friend activity (see my diary). I highly recommend it.
The Pumpkin Fellowship here at BP is strong too. Sit a while & you'll see. Grow a while & you'll know!

What you guys....you did not give him the warning that Giant Pumpkins are an obcessive hobby, leading easily to addiction...Stange behaviors, and all the other precautions. Why do you think they want to send you seeds so badly but to inflict this on others as they have been infected..

Welcome Schmidt Family. That is the same way we stared with Big Max and then got lured into growing the giants with seeds from Mr. Howard Dill.
A great family thing to do for sure. If you require more seeds, email me at giantpumkins@shaw.ca

Little warning, this was my first season and I am badly addicted, want to show that it is possible to grow giant here in Northern Europe too. People here in bp are great, if you need any help this community will help you.
