Sorry, I had to get your attention: does anybody use Bat Guano, there site shows ivy plants start growing right away, sure enough, I bought some and my Ivy is grown a inch or two already. What about pumpkins, anybody.

Well I would try it if I had access to it, maybe not on a prized seed at first. If you need some no name seeds from a 500 lb'er to experiment on I can send you some. Brent

Thanks, I'm going to try a weak solution of it on a prized seed.

fog, just use the site search bar above to the top right corner on your computer screen. Type in Bat Guano.

Here is some more info on it. Really high in nitrogen...better go easy. Here is some more reading for ya, including info from a pumpkin grower.

I've heard of it used in compost tea.

In response to LongBeard, the foxfarm fert is really good stuff. Worth the money for growing vegetables. It is packed with everything from kelp, to calcium, compost, to bat guano. No forest byproduct or sand base to it.

Or, is there anything you don't want to put in your plant hole.

bat crap is an excellent additive to the garden. dont think there are tons of it around but id certainly use a little bit in the patch ( 20 pounds per plant ? )and in my soil soup mixture of course if you live near some caves then by all means dig in pap
