How about an 1180 Daletas X 1446.5 Werner? Or maybe the opposite. Anyone think that would be a good cross?

1502 Wallace x long gourd = 3,000 lbs. You said dream. Seriously how about 1446 Werner x 1446 Eaton. For color 1191 Zunnio x 1209 Wells.

Hey Sav, now I really like that one!!! Seriously. Wouldn't mind having a seed from that one if you get any. Could trade for the 1180 X 1446.5.

I know this is a family site so I'll keep it simple. Usually when I dream about genetics it has something to do with Pamela Anderson, Heidi Klum, Gisele Bundchen, Shania Twain (cause she's Canadian too), Laetitia Casta, Catherine Zeta Jones....those are the genetics that I dream about.

I met Heidi Klum at a photo shoot at Giants Stadium. I think she likes pumpkins.

Stupid Question from a beginner. Which is the Female, the plant the pumpkin was grown on, and the Male, the imported flower, in the formula ### x #####. (Check out the 5 digit weight in the second parent. Gonna be a big kid!!)
PS Pam grows the Big Gourds.

Whichever plant has the pumpkin on it is considered the female. The plant used to pollinate is the male. Seems like I read here somewhere that the pumpkin fruit is always a "she".

klancy,
first number is the female (pumpkin) second number is the male pollinator.

Pumpkin is a she because she has the ovaries (lobes) and produces offspring (seeds).

VIC: the 1193 rose 2006 is a 1370 x 1068. i have one growing at my place. it was a backup plant that got planted in soil with no amendments done to it. i had a hard time getting one set but have an open pollination growing at about 400-500lbs. great plant and nice loooking pumpkin. i wish i had gotten one set early on it.the 691 edwards 2006 was a 1370 x 1068 cross also. if you want any seeds from that one let me know.
