I am new to growing this year and I lost all my plants to squash borer's because of lack of pesticide. What kind of pesticide or compination of pesticides should I use to control or prevent squash borers next year. How much should I use and how often.

hoots dirt (Mark)

Farmville, Virginia (mfowler@hsc.edu)

I use Orthenex which is a systemic insecticide/fungicide and rotate it with Thiodan and Daconil. I saw quite a few SVB earlier but never had any damage. So far no problem with mildew. I know there are a lot better and more expensive products out there but I can't complain about these.
