This is my first year growing A.G's.I have one at 90''and one about 65''.Is it good to shade them?It's hot and humid down here!Going try some milk on stump,tnks.Really enjoy watching these things grow.I have some vine borers and split's because I did'nt pos. before vacation.Ifeel lucky to break 200lb mark.This is a great site and forum Good Luck!!

Some folks build elaborate structures for shading but an old white beach towel or bed sheet is fine.
Milk applied to the soil is a waste of good milk. But you can dilute it in water (1 part milk to 9 parts water) & spray it onto the leaf bottoms once a week to prevent Powdery Mildew.
