I have a couple pretty good sized pumpkins and back up pumpkins. Should I do anything with all the male flowers that keep popping up? I know if I keep cutting off the flowers in my flower garden it will only encourage the plant to make more. I want my pumpkins to work on growing fruit- not male flowers. Do I pinch them off when they are small like I do with the female flowers?

Once your preety confident that your pumpkins are set go ahead and cut off the male flowers they do tend to take away overall growth of your pumpkins.

Cut them off. I cut off over 150 males today on 4 plants.
