I'm SO new at this it's not funny. I just planted my pumpkins about 2.5 weeks ago - at this point, they're HUGE - the growth has been amazing! I followed the directions on the package and online - I planted 2 seeds together and spaced them accordingly. I have about 40 plants!! They're in about a 5 x 3.5 foot space and I have 2 zuchinni plants in front of them. Did I over do it? How do I know WHICH plants to thin out? I feel badly - as if they feel it! lol! Please help if you can.

yup, 40 plants you would a need a couple acres for that many.
my space this year is about 16'x25' and i have 2 plantsa in there. i placed the seeds about 3'-4' apart, the one plant took over everything but i have left the 2nd smaller plant in.
this is my first year so i will be happy with a 100 pound pumpkin.
next year, i hope to somehow be able to get 2 good plants in spaced further apart.
