They aren't getting their panties in a twist about obesity anymore? Finally something I agree with.
https://www.theblaze.com/news/bill-maher-fat-acceptance-obesity-americans I disagree with Maher. People do come in different shapes and sizes, genetically, and for other reasons effectively beyond their control. Its not ALL based on choice, and even if it was... isnt this the day and age of respecting people's choices, about just about anything?
When they arent being paranoid twofaced hypocrites, I do dig the inclusiveness of the left.

It's extremely difficult for folks to learn to implement good health habits as they relate to wellness & longevity. I am past 70 now & over the 12 years passed since my diagnosis of terminal oral cancer & all the poisoning they did to my body with mass amounts of radiation & chemotherapy, I have learned. I wasn't given long to live & have been very concerned about health & longevity ever since. And so I have gained lots of knowledge on getting & staying healthy. So Gridiot , I will say to you the reason many folks are doomed to obesity & a lifetime of chronic disease is these folks either don't know better or they have been miseducated, or they don't care or they are a combination of all 3 of the above. Most anyone CAN get healthy & would like to be healthy but bringing that to fruition is a whole different ball game. I know what I have done for myself is keeping me well & feeling great & I am very sure it will work for almost anyone. But I talk to friends & family to try to help with their health & my words seem to fall on deaf ears. It is what it is. It is a rare soul indeed who comes to the point they are knowing & willing to make dramatic changes for their personal health. I know it has been a very long journey for me.

Fat babies are healthy babies... obesity used to indicate good health in adults too in many cultures just not the USA. This was probably one of the first ways our (now very backwards?) culture took a 180 turn away from the prior cultural norms.

Gridiot, obesity is definitely still a sign of prosperity here in The Philippines. And fat babies indeed are healthy but it becomes a setup for a lifetime of obesity & declining health. I concern myself with quality of life & longevity. Obesity is detrimental to both, not to speak of what a better self image I have when I am slimmed down. I do & feel my best when I am slimmed down. My wife seems happy to be obese but it is going to cause her to die at a young age for which I am very sad. Obese people never live to be very old, period. That is what I know.
