At the heart of it, there is only one reason for inflation, and that is excessive government spending/corruption.
Only 10% or so of the covid spending went to "we the people" so in reality most of our pie is being eaten by hungry elephants and donkeys? Sure, I do enjoy pie crumbs, its better than nothing and I'm not complaining about my own life, but overall I dont see this continuing to be a viable system.

It is too late to fix the dollar. I think we are bound to remain in trouble with our signature currency.

Its interesting to see where this goes... I guess the same-old-same old is actually kinda the best scenario. There's some worse scenarios on the horizon, for sure.

I don't think even "they" no longer see it as a viable option. I believe there are big things going on we are not being told about. And maybe we are so far in the hole with the dollar it is already too late to save.

Strangely, just saw an article touting the dollar as being stronger than the yen. But the yen has very little backing... its rather inflated, so thats an apples to apples comparison.
I totally agree with you.
