This is for those who think privatizing the United States Postal Service is a good thing. Yesterday I took a package to the UPS store it was an Amazon return that contained a lithium ion battery. I was told we don't ship ground only air and that would be 80 bucks. I took it to my local post office and they said no problem that'll be 20 bucks. So the next time you hear someone going after the USPS defend her!

How much of an uproar would there be if the USPS told people they had enough mail at XMas and refused to take anymore. The so called well run private companies can and do.

After dealing with USPS for seed acquisition and shipping for auctions, I'm strongly considering NOT using them at all next winter.
"The Holidays," or "weather," cannot be blamed for many of the bubbles just sitting in various distribution centers for 5-10 days, without moving an inch.

While the Postal Service is a government agency, it doesn't run off of taxpayer money, and operates entirely off of revenues from mail and package delivery as well as the other services it offers.

I am getting mail today that was sent pre-Christmas 2020. I understand COVID and all of that but more than 4 months to get regular mail?
I like the USPS; our local post office is always great. But there is no excuse for mail that was sent pre Dec 5th to not have arrived yet.
