Ya just have a question i was curious is it ONLY me or
does anyone else have this problem when useing this stuff

after a few days after its been applied to the plant ( drench feed) the soil which it was applied to turns a white hair mold and lasts that way up till a week or untill i remove it or it gets washes away by rain.

just curious if anyone else has had this problem with this product and does it effect the plants.

also how often do you feed your pumpkings this stuff and how do you mix it

i was told 1 Liter of mix to 5 liters of water makes 6 liters of fertilizer and should be applied on a weekly basis

ive also got dry sea weed extract and also kelp mollases

thanks

Dave

I use both, Neptunes liquid fish & liquid seaweed. I mix it at a rate of 1 to 2 oz per gallon of water.

I use Neptunes a rate of 2 Tbs. per gallon of water for foliar feedings. For soil drench on the pumpkin plants I use a little bit more. I use it on my house plants at a rate of 1 Tbs./gallon water.

I have never seen any white hair mold grow as a result from its use. You might want to look into using a fungicide.

It's happened to me for 2 years. The only reason it will grow is lack of ventilation and drying, i.e. if your hoophouses are closed up for a week because you just saw an ark float by in the deluge of rain. Just lightly scrub it off by dusting over it with your hand, then get some air to the area and it's gone. It doesn't hurt anything, but get rid of it anyway.

1 part to 5 sounds like a very heavy mix rate. Is that what it says to use on the bottle? Perhaps the Neptune's Hervest that is sold in Canada is different than the US version?

When I feed fish through the underground irrigation system I use only half a cup, four ounces in one hundred and ten gallons of water. This is done no more than once a week, on one thousand square feet, of patch, while foliar application is also, in progress. I have never seen the mold you have identified. Any mold seen on fish or where fish has been added, to the soil, is not harmfull. Is it possible that you used Mycorrazzi (sp)and that mold might be your fungi licking the surface for the fish? At any rate make no effort to get rid of it. It is you friend!

Thanks for the Imput guys. I think thats why my 2 main plants turned a pale yellow shortly after my 1Liter of liquid to 5 liters of water was drenched to them then from there on it was cold and rainy for an entire week. these past 2 days have been NO rain with cool nights and Hot day
time temps and both plants are perked back up and growing again :-)

thanks again for the advice

later Dave
