Pretty late in the season. Most growers are emphasizing potassium at this time. I'm currently using 0-0-50 and fish/seaweed blend; however, when my pumpkins were the size of beachballs, I was using triple 18. The rate depends on the square footage of the plant and the type of soil. If your plant covers 1000sf, 1 to 2 pounds once a week. You must be cautious of the amount of nitrogen that is present when you have fruit set. Nitrogen can make your pumpkins explode if there is too much. At the same time, there has to be some nitro to help things happen.

I've been using 18-19-30 Tomato Food. That works pretty good for me.

C.C...... I'm glad you mentioned your fertilizer. I just bought the same today from my local co-op. it's made by Schultz. Now i feel like i made the right choice.

Jeff352.... where do you get your 0-0-60? Is it also water soluable. Also, what is the recommended rate(fertilzer to water mixture) that i should be using for my patch? Isn't there some sort of formula where you take into account how many gallons of water you need per square feet of patch and then figure out how many ounces of fertilizer per gallon of water? Thanks!
