I am not an expert, however, all that I have heard and read is that manure from anything that eats meat is not good.

Our back yard systems are not reliable enough in most instances to assure safe handling of manure from meat eating animals...including ourselves.

Mike, you may want to try something like this. Build yourself a wooden box about 2ft long, 1ft width and 1ft high. Make a hinged cover for the top and nail a thin strip of window screen around the inside top of the box that overlaps an inch or two on the inside. Fill the box with about 10 inches of damp peat moss and then add about 100-200 redworms or whatever type you have out there to the peat moss. Now that you have a nice worm house, they need some food. This is where the dog poo comes in at. Dig a shallow hole in the peat moss, add a pile of dog poop, cover it back up,then close the lid and let the worms have a feast! The worms do an outstanding job of making that poop disappear and even better, there's no smell. You can feed them daily and in no time at all you will have thousands of worms in there and the best part is that the worms are making you a nice rich pile of all organic worm castings! By the way the window screen will keep your worms from escaping.
