1-.do I keep stump dy at all times ( have been)
2- do I pinch off all pumpkins not going to pollinate 3- do of cut off male flowers that r finished blooming 4- do I cut off tap root under baby pumpkin almost ready to pollinate and at what point would I do this Thanks Eileen

Yes to the first three questions. Don't cut the tap roots until you are sure it's the "keeper". You will be fine until about day 10 or so before the pumpkin starts to get big enough that you will need to cut the tap root under the pumpkin and usually 2 on either side of the pumpkin.
