Cant remember were i read or saw this, But saw someone
that built there own "Manure type maker" basically from
what I saw was an water barell filled with water and green grass clippings and this was feed to the pumpking plants?

I can see how grass being cooked in a sunny warm container
would creat something but does this stuff actually work?

do you have to watch how you feed this stuff to the plants
( so it doesnt burn the roots or what not)

or does this stuff actually work well and is something you
can just pour out of the bucket onto and around the plants
to feed them?

just curious because i saw this and it seemed interesting
yet cheap ( because i mow my lawn weekly HA HA) :-)
and if it does work why not give it a shot eh?

This concoction will get really stinky. You would be better incorparating it into the compost pile. Then using it as a tea.

The whole month of May i collect all the grass i can and spread it all over my patch. The sun does dry the grass out in about 3-4 days.. I then roto-till it in.

Come end of May early June I already have my plants in the ground so how is this possible to do if the plants are already planted?
just mulch it up and dig it in around the plants?

will this do any harm to new roots ext ext or be too strong

Be carefull with grass clippings. Grass can be effected by fungi that also can use pumpkins as hosts...rhizoctonia comes to mind...so if the grass isnt healthy and you put clippings with fungi on them in your patch your gonna get patch nasties. Been there done that........G

Just be sure that the clippings are herbicide free, some people "gather" clippings at the curb side from their neighbors yards
