               so which grain in granular fertilizer are nitro? which are Phosphate? which are potassium? and which are filler/micro nutrients?  Reason I ask I'd like to remove all the Phosphate out of my granular fertilizer.

               Not meaning to be rude, but why go thru such trauma? & Why not just buy what you need? Them lil pellets (grains) are so small, you could spend a month or so pulling out the phosphate grains (pellets)! (granuales). Peace, Wayne

               In my bag of 11-55-0 the pellets are brown. Urea is white unless it's sulfur coated then it's yellow. Sometimes the micro nutrients are added in a black glassy looking frit. Cheap lawn fert uses potash for the k. You don't want that. I would just go find a greenhouse fertilizer supplier. They would have the bulk bags of the water soluble ferts,in whatever types you want. I'd stick to sulphate versions.
