The drip tape I'm using needs 6 PSI to drip. I want to buy a pump that has enough dynamic head to push greater than 6 PSI and I found a rough calculation of 2.31xtotal dynamic head but this comes out to almost 14' of head. Does this sound right to you? What pumps have you guys been using?

We had the have a limiter on the junction to the drip tape to reduce it to 6 PSI. The pump was like 30 PSI

I just use a pressure gage and recirculate the extra water back into the tank

That offers longer life to the pump as well.

overflow like Darrens allows fresh water to pass through the pump to help cool it and reduces back pressure
