This season I am planning on adding the majority of my amendments around the beginning of June. I need to add some boron and zinc sulfate. I was told that I need to get the zinc sulfate in asap because it takes a long time to break down.
What about the boron ? I have 2lbs of these white pellets, that are 10% boron. Does this type of pellet break down fast or slow ? I just want to know if I should put the boron pellets down now, or , if they break down rather fast i will put them down closer to the beginning of June.

Ok, I am pretty sure that this stuff will take a while to break down. I put a few of the pellets into a mason jar with some water and shook it up. It took it a long time to even start to dissolve. It is now in the patch and tilled in. Hope this helps others.

Zappa, My advice would be to do a test plot. Then get a soil test to compare the plot amended with Boron and the plot without. This is the only definite way you will know how fast or slow it is breaking down/leaching/ being used by the plant. Hope this helps

Are you sure the boron pellets are for garden use or a health care product , I would just use mule team borax

I haven't used boron in a pellet form, but I have used it in a powder (Solubor 20.5%). Solubor dissolves in warm water. Boron moves with the water, like nitrogen does. Unless the pelatized form is supposed to be slow release. Good luck!
