Hi all GP growers! I'm a new GP grower in Northern Ontario and I believe my nutrients are locked up. My leaves are light green/yellow with green veins. I have added Epsom salts with not much improvement. I was thinking it might be a manganese deficiency but without a soil analysis it's hard to tell. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to 'unlock' nutrients? If it is a manganese deficiency how much would I add and how?

Changing your ph will unlock metals. You need a soil test to tell you your current ph and levels of metals and minerals. You have to know where youre at to determine where you need to go

I wasn't sure how often to use fertilizer so I was doing it weekly with ie 20-20-20 fertlizer (depending on stage of growth of the plant different ratios of N-P-K were used) and adding other nutrients weekly like seaweed and fish fertlizer. I also started making compost tea with worm castings/humic acid/ounce of seaweed and adding that couple time a week? I'm not sure though how often fertlizer should be used and in what quantities per square foot?

I'm assuming nutrients were locked up because my leaves are pale green with yellow spots and pumpkin is growing slowly

Check out the IDEAL SOIL HAND BOOK.. Master this... >The secrets of soil mineral balance that create ideal soil, plant, and animal health are revealed in this read for the first time. The amazing results that can be achieved by balancing the major cation minerals Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium and Sodium in the soil according to the teachings of Dr William Albrecht and Dr Carey Reams have changed the world of agriculture. This knowledge has taken the focus away from merely trying to achieve high volume yields to achieving the highest yields of the highest quality and nutritional value, while building the overall health of the soil, the crops, and the people and animals that rely on them for food.
