Anyone ever use granular muriate of potash as a mid-season recharge? I was thinking about its use at half the recommended dispersal rate since it is so potent.

I personally dont and will not use MOP and always rely on SOP and then liquid potassium carbonate later in the season.

PS: I've used 0-0-60 in small amounts in the past, and the pumpkins survived. Now I have a huge bag full of potassium sulfate, and even that gets limited use during the growing season. Frequent soil tests and diluted liquid ferts are the way to go in my book.

I used 0-0-60 in 2012, 2013, and 2014 as an amendment in spring. I also had splits all 3 years from day 30 to 40 which sucks. I wouldn't recommend that stuff to Lucifer himself. Go with the 50 and a lot less salt.
