I've been applying "Miracle Gro tomato plant food" (18-18-21) once a week, and everything is looking good. On my giant pumpkin vine I have a pumpkin growing that at the moment is the size of a soft ball, with a few smaller ones on the other giant vine about golf ball size. I have a larger patch for jako-lanterns that has a few orange sized pumpkins. They are all growing so fast with nice thick vines and leaves. Secondary roots are taking root pretty good. So overall the plants are very healthy. I thought I would spice things up some with "Alaska Fish Fertilizer" (5-1-1) to give things a boost. The directions on the fish stuff says apply once every three weeks. If I apply the fish fertilizer the same day I apply the miracle grow stuff, will it harm my plants? I was thinking I could apply the miracle grow on a Saturday, and then the fish stuff on maybe wednsday, it wont burn my plants. Any suggestions?

Hey there. I'm sure someone else will chime it but if I were you I would apply less fertilizer more often. By that I mean instead of putting on a full dose once a week. Put 1/4 dose 3 times a week. The fish fertilizer, in my limited experience, is great stuff. Lots of micro nutrients to go with those NPK values. I don't think fish can burn. But careful with the miracle gro. Lots of salts in it

If your leaves are green and growing well then I wouldn't be adding additional nitrogen on the pumpkin plant. I use a bloom product found at your local pot growing store as my fertilizer once my pumpkin has set. Also add silica once a week.
