Has anyone experimented with composting spent beer grains? My son is working for a small craft brewery near me and so I have a source. I've read some articles and it seems like they are a good green source as long as they get plenty of oxegen.

Kelp 4 less sells a brewers grain product they say: Derived from grain solubles Liquid Gold is a 2-2-1 containing Enzymes, Micro-nutrients, Macro-nutrients, 5% Humic Acid, and over 40% Fulvic Acid.Derived from grain solubles.

I think it was 2 years ago that I bought some of this and the jug would expand over flowing the contents every few days in tell it was almost empty. They wouldnt talk to me about it and quit selling it for awhile.

I know this is different than what you are doing with it

Spent grains will attract rodents from a large area. You will see rats like you've never seen before. I tried spent grains 10 years ago and won't do it again because of the rodents.
