Hi all I was just wondering when you are doing your weekly fish/seaweed, or soluble fertilizer or calcium ect. How much are you giving your plants on average at a time. I know growers have diff. opinions on this. I have been having steady low weight gains just figured I would ask. I feel like I may be feeding on the conservative side and am looking to up my gains, anxious to see some feedback on this thank you! I have been giving each plant a tablespoon and a half in a one gallon sprayer once a week of each. Not enough?

You are right on how every grower has there own opinions on how much they use. I use 1/4 cup of fish and seaweed per gallon every other day. I will mixed in other products like pesticides, cal carb, azos, or Potassium with it once a week during different times of the year. I am not a expert, but this is what I am doing this year and having great results.

I follow Holland's feeding guide because I am new to growing a giant pumpkin. I did slow with fish feedings because of the energy lost to too much plant growth and not enough fruit weight. The seaweed I do apply each Monday, Ca on Wednesday and NutriAid Bloom Booster on Fridays. Starting in August, I began more direct feedings and less (spray) feedings. I also incorporate a high potassium mineral into the soil along each vine six inches out. I've grown veggies for years and this will be my first giant attempt. I love seeing everyone's take on this subject. I think what Joe states is very true. Do what works for you and observe and try to record your results. In my area, weather has been a bit difficult especially the lower night temps. Good Job - Grow'M BIG!!!
