I just recieved my soil test results and would like some input on what to apply. HM% 1.31 W/V 0.96 CEC 9.0 BS% 72.0 Ac 2.5 ph 5.5 P-I 36 K-I 72 Ca% 54.0 Mg% 14.0 Mn-I 78 Mn-Ai 57 Zn-I 279 Zn-AI 279 Cu-I 161 S-I 77 Thanks for your help.

100 Lbs of Lime as soon as the patch is clear. Till it in. Wait a month - 6 weeks & soil test again. Getting that pH up will free elements up for next year. But we want to be sure we have corrected the pH before adding anything else. After the next test is done we'll need the actual lab results in hand since labs use different procedure & the interpretation of results depends on the labs test protocol.

Honest. I do this for a living.

Thanks Steve. I sewn my cover crop and don't really want to till it in, but I would if that would be best.

This is true. I should have said 100 Lbs PER 1000 Square Feet. The rest is measuring & math. Sorry!

My two cents..........yes till in the lime now and then resew another cover crop. Minor cost for proper application. I would wait until spring to retest. You have the same exact movement to make as I faced last fall. My spring test showed the PH at 6.8...right on the money.

To grow AG pumpkins "correctly" takes alot of money and time.....especially when you have to do it over! :>)
So far, I've spent $XX,000 and I have yet to hit 1K!
This can be a most frustrating sport! :>(
