WHEN I PREPARED MY SOIL THIS YEAR, I FOLLOWED THE RECCOMENDATION OF MY LOCAL CO-OP FARM STORE. IN THE PAST, I WOULD PUT OUT 13-13-13 AND TILL IT INTO THE SOIL, BUT THIS YEAR I WAS TOLD TO USE A FERTILIZER THAT DID NOT HAVE AS MUCH NITROGEN IN IT (8-24-24). HE SAID THIS WOULD ENCOURAGE ROOT AND FLOWERING GROWTH. THE PROBLEM IS MY PUMPKIN PLANTS SEEM LIKE THEY ARE GROWING SLOWLY. THERE ARE LOTS OF FLOWERS THOUGH. WHAT SHOULD I DO? SHOUL I ADD SOME NITROGEN? WOULD MIRACLE GROW BE THE BEST WAY TO DO THIS? STILL WAITING ON MY " HOW TO GROW WORLD CLASS PUMKINS " BOKK TO SHOW UP SO I'M NOT SURE WHAT I NEED TO DO. THANKS FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE ME.

Yo Greenhorn, Hey man you need nitrogen for leaf growth...should start off with a high nitrogen feed..bit late now man...go beat the crap out of the co-op farm store man. Dopey oik (not you). Sue him for a wasted season.Read the posts... the growers here know better than anybody else about pumpkins and squash.

you do have a longer growing season,,hmm,,,aint got nothing to loose,,put some fish emulsion,,has some nitro in it,,maybe that will help,,,I think I burnt 2 of my plants up yesterday,,,the tips are turning deep green in the veins,,but not the whole leafs,,it wasnt growing well,,so I thought I would build a fire under it so to speak,,with miracle grow of course,,hehe,,,,I think I got the fire too hot,,lol,,we shall see,,
