I was wondering what time is the best time to spray anything on my plants. Morning Or afternoon in the heat of the day?? Right before nightfall??

I use the sun to warm water,,so i spray as soon as the sun goes below the trees... and water is still warm

i always spray at dusk when bee activity is at the lowest point. you can usually avoid killing other beneficial insects like hummingbird moths (they do a lot of pollinating on my long gourds) by doing it at that time.

Really good point bigbear Some of the new generation of pesticides are not harmful to bees if there is no direst contact with the spray. The spinosad derivatives like spriotetrmat for spider mites is one I have used recently. Even if I use a pyrethrin I try and spray after the bees have gone to bed as it is short lived and will not harm as many. Of course we also make sure we have plants that are there for the pollinators. There is a call now for larger farms to leave some natural areas around the crop fields with native flowers and grasses because this is where the pollinators are feeding and breeding.
