Does any one know of a good faucet to hose timer? Trying to
find one that i can run four or five different times during
the day to cool the plants. All that ive seen only do one
every 12 hrs.

So, Linus can you tell me what Orbit timer (battery operated) that can be set for multiple spray times? I need to do mistings every hour or 2nd hour and most of the Orbit ones I've seen only allow you to water either daily, every second or third day or once a week. Some have 6 hour setting, 12 hour setting but cant find one that will allow repeated 1 or 2 minute durations for mulitple or repeating times...

i picked one up at ace hardware that is a 6 cycle.

It also has a mist cycle (2 minute on, 6 minutes off). I got it for that option first, but now I dont think 2 on, 6 off is good. I would rather have more minutes off in between mists?

I know Tom P. said the Gilmour 9600 is awesome. I saw 1 on ebay last month but missed it. He said they discontinued them but I am gonna watch ebay and try to get one of those for next year.

Just about any digital timer will work the best. they usely can be set to go on 4 to 6 times. From 1 min to 12O min.
Just remember to get a hose splitter and put it before the timer. So you can use the hose too.

OK thanks...guess I will have to keep looking. Misting every 6 hours is not gonna do the job...need something that will come on every hour for 1-3 minutes.

I had one that worked great but can't find the make and model anymore...and mine stopped working properly awhile back.

Hey North Shore I picked up this Gardena timer at Crappy Tire a couple weeks ago at 30% off. http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/2/OutdoorLiving/8/Watering/WaterTimers/PRD~0597928P/Gardena+Professional+Water+Timer.jsp?locale=en Works great. You can set whatever time you want to water up to 6 times a day, pick what days you want to water and how long from 1 minute to 9 hours each time in 1 minute intervals. It also has a nice feature you can reduce by a percentage without changing the program. I think this is exactly what you're looking for.

I have a human powered timer, it is programed to walk to the patch and look see how things are and turn on water as needed. Have not found one better anywhere.

Vigora two zone timer at Home Depot. You can set how long you want it to go off and how often you want. So if you want 15 mins every hour you can set it and it would go off every hour for 24 hours if you want. $30

hands down the best timer out there for the money 53869 toro, unlike most timers out there that also water at night, this one you can program up to 8 times a day for any duration you want, and you can program the days you want, and will not water at night, unless you like that kind of thing! home depot sells these for 30 bucks, i even use these for underground soakers on the maters, i tried so many other ones out, this has been the best so far for the money.

Galcon 11000EZ Digital Hose Timer

you can have it turn on once every hour(24 times in one day) at dripworks.com the price right now is $45. it has a one year factory warranty PLUS dripworks has added 2 more years to that so its a 3year warranty

I believe you can program each day of the week differently also.
