Has anyone tried burying t-tape? Will it work on a pumpkin and what about on other areas in the garden?

burying t-tape works just fine, did it for years here, I liked how clean the patch looked when it was buried but it is more work then needed, last year I just laid it on the surface, if you do bury it I always put it deeper where there was a possbility of setting a pumpkin

I burried it right below the surface, just to make the patch look better and it performed fine. I contacted drip-works to make sure it would be all right and they recommend burrying it, it prolongs the life of the t-tape by keeping the sun off it. The only problem I found was pinning the vines down, you have to watch out so you don't put a hole in it.
