I am interested in people opinions on this one. When small pumpkins go bad, such as from poor fertilisation or rot, should they be cut off immediately or perhaps be left on for as they shrink they may be delivering nutrients off to other parts of the plant?

cut off and throw away from patch. leave noting to rot in patch because this could help spread diseases, etc. just not a good practice. thats the same reason we pull all our plants at seasons end. let them rot in a pile far away from the patch.
