still having a (chlorine) problem with the town water, i'm going to build my own filter and wondered if anybody has used (KDF 55 filter media) with any luck, been a plumber for 28 years and know how to build filters and i want to just filter it , just wondering if there is a better media out there, thanks ,scott......

if you build a water tank, open to the air, the chlorine will disipate in a few hours. You will gain the added benefit of warming the water, preventing root shock. it should be fairly easy to find a 275 gallon tote you can recycle into a water tank. Chlorine isn't something that filters out easily, but it will off gas if left out for 12 hours.
