Soaker hose is a good way to deliver water. The sprinkler works well but the coverage isn't directed as well as a soaker. There's no bad way, I like soaker because I can water and work at the same time.

I use in-line drip but my patch is also over our 100ft long trans evaporation septic system. In the past I have used soaker hoses.
