I was just wondering how much Mycorrhizae to use and application methods? My patch is 25'x50' for two plants. Should I apply it throughout the entire patch, just in the planting hole itself, also at each node? Thanks in advance for your help and advice.

I'm a big fan of placing it everywhere (planting hole, each node, and I also broadcast it ahead of the plant as it grows and rake it into the soil). If you assume that your plant will have roots everywhere (which it will) then full coverage with myco is best in my opinion. It also just got a lot more cost effective with the sale Tom has going on right now.

Two questions about Myco.

1. Does anyone apply it already on the first phase, adding it to the pot, when germinating the seed (or when putting the germinated seed to the pot). As I understand Myco requires plant roots nearby to activate, and just with my simple thinking it would be beneficial to introduce it to roots at the earliest possible point of time?

2. When the bag is opened, how long does it stay "alive", assuming kept in dry and cool place. I guess the brand is pretty irrelevant or is it in this sense?
