It really depends, some companies refer to humus as something that is really just compost, others as humic acid, if it is liquid Humic acid, it is the same thing as Granular humic, just used in a different way. Granular is a far superior product to use to amend soil as it won't leech out as fast as a liquid. Humic Acid will raise your organic matter, bind to water and nutrients aiding in their uptake, Humates increase the cell energy balance, the rapid development of a root systems, the formation of special ferments that increase plants resistance to drought and frost among many other benefits. I would use Granular to amend the soil, I use Liquid Humic acid or water soluble humic acid once a week. Tom
