Yes. CO2 is calcium carbonate and is widely used now. I first saw it in Vigor-Cal (an Agro-K product) and it is now sold under a few marketing names.

There is a form of it that you apply to the soil for calcium. Just found that out 2 days ago.

Calcium carbonate is limestone. I think you guys are getting it confused with Carbon Dioxide CO2.
