anything in moderation id think could be used. usually a lot of salts in chicken related manures. not sure on pellets though?
also nitrogen is hign in chicken manure and will raise hell if you put to much down. ( bloated leaves, invites diseases more readly,pollination problems, etc.)
be carefull with chicken manure. a little goes a long way.

Have not used it Dave but looks like good stuff. The compost I bought had a small percentage of chicken manure and litter in it and results last year were good.
