Was wondering how many of you are still using calcium nitrate in the patch and will it damage the soil microbes?
Thanks Dave

We do. The effect on biology can be positive or negative. Rate, rate, timing & rate.

Works great. I used it at the rate of a tablespoon per week during late May - early July. I also used it on fruit trees they grew like 2 feet. LOL Be careful though my brother put too much ( 1 tablespoon 3-4 times a week) on the experimental patch and the plant grew like crazy but it never set a pumpkin. If you want really tall sunflowers use a little calcium nitrate on giant sunflowers they shoot straight up.
