So I've been reading and hearing that molasses makes an outstanding foliage drench but I'm confused about this whole drench thing. The measurement is 1-3 TBSP of molasses to each gallon of water...is this something I can spray anytime of day or like insecticides where you should do it in the evening? Can the pumpkin receive this same drench? Also..my same question pertains to the fish emulsion or drench.

You should spray any foliar sprays during the evening or early morning.I wouldnt bother spraying the actual pumpkins but if spray gets on it youlld be fine.

Try to "see" your patch (treatment area) in all three dimensions.

Mist blower foliar sprays are very low volume where only the leaves & stems are whetted with 2-6 pints per 1000 sq ft.

Normal foliar spraying is low volume where only the laves are moistened. Usually 1-2 gallons per 1000 sq ft.

Drenching involves broader thinking & greater resources. The goal usually serves to wet the plant & soil to the entire top inch down. This is the area Fusarium & Rhizoctonia inoculation takes place. The volume required to set the fungicide properly is typically .25-3 pints per square foot.

Fertilizers like seaweed are usually drenched where the foliage is also soaked in the process.
